A deep dive into our Hopi Contact Lenses
We’ve loved answering all your questions on social media and email since we’ve launched. We were starting to get quite a few of the same, so we’d thought we’d quickly do a write up of the most asked questions. So here we go!
1) Do your lenses have international approvals?
Fear not, our lenses are not made in our bedrooms. We scoured the world to find the best possible manufacturer & we chose the great team at Pegavision in Taiwan. They make millions of lenses each & every month.
Our Hopi Daily Contact Lenses are fully FDA approved and have ISO: 13485 which is the Manufacturing Quality Standards Certification & also CE: 0434 which is the European Standards Certification
2) What prescriptions do you offer?
We offer from +2.00 right the way through to -12.00! Unfortunately we don’t have varifocal lenses. Neither do we do lenses for astigmatisms at the moment
3) What is the base curve of your lenses?
Our base curve is 8.5mm & the lens diameter is 14.2mm. They are the same as a lot of lenses on the market. Just check your prescription or on the box and look out for BC (base curve) & DIA (diameter).
Some other details about our lenses for your reference. Yes we have UV protection, Class II - blocks at least 70% UVA and 95% UVB radiation. Finally, our oxygen permeability is 25 x 10 Dk/t
4) How long do your lenses last for?
Good question and there are two answers here. Each lens is daily disposable, so once you’ve worn it, you can just throw it away and pop a fresh pair in the next day. If you don’t actually wear lenses everyday and you want to know how long they last, our lenses are good to go for 5 years!
5) Can I try your lenses?
We’re the new guys on the block, we get that! With that in mind, you can try our lenses for a month for just AED 100 (with free delivery). So you’ll receive 60 lenses for you to try. Just select your prescription in each eye & tell us where to send them. You can cancel anytime, so don’t feel like you’re trapped.
